Nvidia NVENC Streaming Bitrate Comparison 720p 864p 1080p - PUBG (or any FPS Game)

Watch this video in 1440p to avoid horrible youtube compression. I ran this test in 48 combination between 30fps and 60fps in 720p, 864p and 1080p with 1000kbps, 2000kbps, 3000kbps, 4000kbps, 5000kbps, 6000kbps, 7000kbps, 8000kbps. METHODOLOGY I ran this test with OBS 28 Beta 2, using NVENC with RTX 2070 Super in PUBG Steam Game. Then I edit the footage using Shotcut and render it using x264 Medium with rate control at 70% CRF 15 to avoid more compression when uploading to Youtube (I also render and edit this video at 1440p). CONCLUSION The sweet spot between bitrate and quality (depends on the game you're streaming) 720p 30fps : 2500 to 3500 720p 60fps : 4000 to 5000 864p 30fps : 4000 to 5000 864p 60fps : 5000 to 6000 1080p 30fps : 5000 to 6000 1080p 60fps : 6000 to 8000 Don't choose below the lowest sweet spot value since the lowest sweet spot values are only good at low-motion games. Of course, a higher bitrate will provide more quality in return but you will get a diminishing return if you choose a higher bitrate than the sweet spot above. Choose a higher bitrate than the sweet spot if your video streaming contains high-motion games like Apex, PUBG, MW, Escape From Tarkov or any FPS game, racing game, or any game that contains high foliage or complex texture.
