Introducting Playface - a MIDI controller enhancer for Ableton Live
Playface enhances your MIDI controller by showing parameter values in realtime on your smartphone or tablet. Playface can theoretically be used with any MIDI controller + smartphone/tablet combination. At the moment, it works best with a few tested controllers with endless encoders (this is by choice not limitation). In this video the MIDI controller is a Native Instruments M32 and the display is a Huawei Mediapad T3 Android tablet. Playface native apps work equally great also on Android and iOS. Playface can map all available parameters and display them in banks. The layout of the display can be customized to reflect the layout of the MIDI controller. With playface you don't have to memorize what knob does what, it shows on the display! Playface is currently in development. Let us know what you think and what features you wish for!
