Love Is Teasing - Bert Jansch: 12 string arrangement
Original recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t57XR8WyKZY. I used to believe that recording was a 12-string, but I now have serious doubts (reasons explained in the video). But I present this experiment anyway, which may work as evidence either way. You be the judge. (Skip to 2:30 if you want to avoid my pre-amble.) By the way, I said in the video that the only track on 'Nicola' definitely using a 12-string was 'Go Your Way My Love', but I was forgetting "Weeping Willow Blues" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgfICMGTEW4 - which is pretty clearly a 12-string. Guitar: Taylor 150e, tuned DADGAD. Camera: Zoom Q4N; microphone Audio-Technica AT2020USB (mono); video editing: Filmora X. Photo credits: Bert with sitar: unknown. Bert with 12-string: http://brianlawtonproject.org.uk/ - lots of other great rare photos of 60s folkies and pop stars there. The John Bailey website states that Bert's 12-string is now in the possession of Palm Guitars of Amsterdam, whose owner Soren Venema sadly died very recently. To assess just how sad this is, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZba3w70UAo
