How to Live with Toxicity. An Interdisciplinary Conversation - Second Annual RCC Tandem Lecture
The Second Annual Rachel Carson Center Tandem Lecture "How to Live with Toxicity. An Interdisciplinary Conversation" was recorded on 5 May, 2021. The two keynote speakers are Kate Brown (environmental historian) and Antonia Alampi (curator). The idea behind the Annual Tandem Lecture is to bring two people together who are working within different professional fields but who have grappled with the same questions. The two complementing experts can tackle environmental issues from different points of view. Kate Brown is an environmental historian who has worked extensively on issues of radiation, disasters and wastelands. Antonia Alampi on the other hand is a curator and cultural communicator who has curated multiple exhibitions on toxicity. The event was organised by Ayushi Dhawan, Maximilian Feichtner and Jonas Stuck from the DFG Emmy-Noether research group "Hazardous Travels. Ghost Acres and the Global Waste Economy" together with Rachel Carson Center director Christof Mauch and managing director Arielle Helmick. Technical assistance was provided by Maximilian Heumann.
