An unusually cold winter: Sweden in January from the perspective of a kayaker

January and February are typically the winter months in Sweden when much of the water has frozen over. For paddlers, this gets tricky as you have limited options for getting out on open water. This shows the perspective of different locations in Stockholm county in mid-January 2024, after some unusually cold weeks leading to lake and sea water freezing over in more locations than usual.
