PA received a rare snowstorm this December and we went to snowshoe three times. General Tips: - Cold weather bunting is a must. We used Patagonia's Hi-Loft Down Sweater Bunting. 3-6 months was very large and could fit our baby for even up to a year. - Keep miles short and check your baby often. Front wearing was easiest for us because it helps keep your baby warm. Hands and feet are the first things that will get cold so we recommend extra layers there and constantly checking them. Also, since your body temperature will also be off between the cold and exertion , we recommend bringing a thermometer. Just because you are hot doesn't mean your baby is. My friend's toddler was not interested in wearing her gloves so I recommend finding a pair of high mittens that are more difficult to remove. - If you want to try more miles, try creating a series of loops that end at your car so that you are never very far from warmth and transportation if you need it.
