Huawei P20 Lite Full Review: Good Phone But Bad Price!

Huawei P20 Lite camera samples are not as good as P20 Pro. Front camera samples are great but the rear will not impress you enough. Huawei P20 Lite Sound Quality: Not that great at the high volume level The loudspeaker will not impress you much, it’s not loud enough and the lows are absent on max volume but on the contrary, the sound in earphones is amazing. Huawei is using an audio component to produce a rich sound. Huawei P20 Lite Display comes with Full HD Plus and 19:9 Resolution: The plus in Full HD resolution is for the extra pixel which makes the screen taller. There is also an option to change the color from warm to cold and from HD Plus to Full HD plus Resolution. The corner of the screen is awfully rounded which can cause some trouble when viewing a full-screen picture. The bezels are in inconsistent proportion. Some bezels on the top, minimum bezels on the sides and thick bezels at the bottom. And just like the other manufacturers, Huawei has also provided a setting where you can hide this notch if you are not a fan in exchange for some screen real estate. Battery Life and Charging time: Does it support Wireless Charging? It has a battery life of 8-10 hours with moderate usage which is not that great. After heavy usage, like I was testing camera, processor, and used the internet, it ended up like for just 7-8 hours. Even though the phone comes with glass back, it is disappointing that Huawei P20 Lite does not support wireless charging. And charging this phone almost took 2 hours. So, in battery life and charging time, P20 Lite is quite average. Huawei P20 Lite Android Oreo with EMUI 8.0: Here is the review of EMUI 8.0: https://youtu.be/oL_Awg0ySkI EMUI 8 vs MIUI 9: https://youtu.be/vx2wdYUuVRg Huawei P20 Lite comes Kirin 659 Processor with AnTuTu Benchmark of 86636. This is the same processor used in Honor 9 Lite and Honor 7x which are Honor’s low budget smartphones. Huawei P20 Lite Front Camera comes with 24 MP and f/2.0 Aperture. Camera Samples are sharp with enough details. The portrait mode is also hit and miss, the edge detection on object works perfectly well but on something as complex as a human face, it doesn’t work as expected but I think this can be improved in future software updates. The low light selfies were not that great and for some obvious reason, portrait mode doesn’t work in low-light. Here are some more Camera samples: There is a dual camera setup at the back with 16MP f2.2 aperture and 2MP of the depth sensor with LED Flash. Rear Camera samples are quite sharp and hold the detailing. The color accuracy is great and it has a good dynamic range. The portrait mode works well but not better than other phones in this price segment. Edge detection is average and could have been better. Low light images are not that great. There is noise in the image and picture is slightly over sharpened. So, is it worth buying Huawei P20 Lite? So, at Rs. 20000, you get a phone with great design and built quality and also an average battery life. But not so good processor and camera quality. So, if you are one of those who likes attractive bezels and notch you should totally go for this phone. But if performance is something which matters to you then there are definitely better phones out there in the market. Mobisium is a Content Marketplace.
