Jagdpanzer 38(t) “Hetzer gameplay
Panzerjäger 38 (75 cm Pak 39 L/48) or Jagdpanzer 38(t) “Hetzer” - Germanself-propelled guns- a tank destroyer developed in 1943 by the Czechoslovak company BMM (as indicated by the prefix “t” in the name, from the German tschechischen - “Czech”), based on the Pz.Kpfw light tank. 38(t) , for the needs of the armed forces of the Third Reich. The vehicle was distinguished by its simplicity and reliability, but did not gain popularity in the Wehrmacht due to the low comfort of the crew and the poor placement of the gun. The self-propelled gun was produced from April 1944 to May 1945, during which time 2,827 copies were produced. Hetzers were used by the German army during World War II in 1944–1945. In 1946, BMM resumed production of the Jagdpanzer 38 for the needs of the Czechoslovak army under the name ST-I/ST-III, production continued until the early 1950s and during this time another 318 units were built. Soon after production ended, the self-propelled guns were withdrawn from service as obsolete. The Jagdpanzer 38(t) appeared in the game during the closed beta testing of ground vehicles. The vehicle's accurate and powerful 75-mm gun, capable of firing chamber shells with good armor protection, makes it a good sniper, and good frontal armor (primarily VLD) allows it to withstand return fire. On the other hand, the layout of the vehicle is dense, and the armor plates on the sides and stern only reliably protect against fire from large-caliber machine guns. In addition, the low mobility of the Hetzer limits the vehicle’s capabilities in combat: the self-propelled gun will not be able to quickly take a firing position, arrive at a capture point, or turn towards an enemy who suddenly appears to the side.
