This Is Love: Jesus The Resurrector
Mark 9:27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up. The word describing the boy standing up is resurrection language. The healing that took place here was a pre-cursor to Christ's own resurrection, a preview of what was to come. When healings happen, they are indicators of our life to come (whether in this age or in glory), so that's why we pray for healing! We ask for the Kingdom to break in here and now, for people to experience the resurrecting power of Christ. This is why we do what we do! This is Christ's love in the here and now.
