Exhibition "Alexander Suvorov’s Alpine Campaign. Dialogues with the Past" Выставочный проект «Альпийский поход Суворова. Диалоги с прошлым» — совместная работа музейно-выставочного центра РОСФОТО, Государственного мемориального музея А. В. Суворова и Ольги Рачковской, фотографа и журналиста из Санкт-Петербурга. На выставке представлены фотографии суворовских мест в Швейцарии. В конце XIX — начале XX века, через 100 лет после Альпийского похода Суворова, Василий Павлович Энгельгардт (1818–1915) заказал швейцарским фотографам фотографии мест, где проходила армия Суворова в 1799 году. А еще век спустя маршрутом армии Суворова прошла Ольга Рачковская, которая сделала фотографии этих мест через 200 лет после исторического события. У посетителей выставки будет уникальная возможность прикоснуться к этой странице отечественной истории и увидеть суворовские места в Швейцарии через 100 и через 200 лет после похода. V. Suvorov State Memorial Museum, and Olga Rachkovskaya, photographer and journalist from St. Petersburg. The exhibition displays photographs of places in Switzerland, visited by Suvorov and his army during the Alpine campaign of 1799. One hundred years after the campaign, in the late 19th and early 20th century, Vasily Pavlovich Engelhardt (1818–1915) commissioned Swiss photographers to take pictures of the Russian army’s path in the Alps. Another hundred years later, Olga Rachkovskaya stepped on the same trail to capture mountainous landscapes, memorial sites, villages and valleys, breathing with history. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to get an insight into this chapter in national history and follow Suvorov’s track in Switzerland 100 and 200 years after his glorious campaign.
