My Rebuild Diary: Repair Rear Power Window Regulator - Mercedes-Benz W123 (aka. Mercy Tiger)
Rear door Windows of my mercedes benz w123 can't close tightly and sounds like a knock when the button is still pressed. I wonder if it comes from worn gear? I looked for information on the web, it turns out that this is a common problem in Mercedes w123 and w126. because the power windows regulator plate is made of soft metal and it is possibly because of the movement that is not smooth this plate becomes bent over time.. I tried to realign, but sorry i forgot to take picture while straightening the Regulator plate. I use vise, iron plate, hammer. and wooden pedestal. The result is not 100% straight but close, I was worried that I will broke or damage the plate. Alhamdulillah, after re-installing, it can close again perfectly. I hope this video can inspire those who watch it.
