Motorola Droid 4 XT894 LineageOS 13 (Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow) - Keyboard Input Focus Problem

When using the keyboard on my phone (the keyboard is slid-out in position), when I tap into input fields and they gain focus (you can see a flashing cursor), a blank white screen fills up the entire display so that I can't see what I'm writing. If I press the back button on my phone, the screen goes away, and I'm able to see what I'm writing.
