Friday Night Funkin' but the layout is slightly different

UPDATE: I'm making a little test modding system that'll allow for Friday Night Funkin' mod creation in a more modular and less cumbersome way that involves code overrides and "injections" instead of directly editing the source code. I'll release this mod as an example for the system once I finish the FNF mod I'm currently working on for the next video. In the meantime, if you know how to compile from source, use the patch file below to recreate this in-game. I wanted to see how different the game would feel if the layout actually matched the WASD/arrow key layout, so I briefly learned Haxe and (barely) some HaxeFlixel to modify some source code. The layout was pretty difficult to adjust to it at first, but it's pretty fun... just don't play any hard songs. This takes direct inspiration from Undertale's Undyne fight. Now we'll have to wait for an actual UT-themed mod... Also, up and down notes are slower than other notes to compensate for the smaller window space, and the track camera doesn't shift when there are more than 3 notes that have to be hit (compensating for duets). man, this game is awesome lol if you haven't played it please do support it https://ninja-muffin24.itch.io/funkin welp... back to terraria modding, i guess, which, coincidentally, also has rhythm game elements in it (i might make another fnf mod if i have another idea that'd be cool) 0:00 Tutorial by Kawai Sprite (Normal) 1:11 M.I.L.F. by Kawai Sprite (Normal) [NOTE: Looks like the patch will break with the new Week 5 update but I haven't checked] Patch file: https://www.mediafire.com/file/q51a46i93a9yx0i/PlayStatePatch.patch/file If you want to try out this layout, you'll need to compile the game (https://github.com/ninjamuffin99/Funkin) and patch this particular version of PlayState.hx (with WinMerge or GnuWin32): https://github.com/ninjamuffin99/Funkin/blob/5aaa4b8aa5070b9d26d5626ae3f361f6d77ccd39/source/PlayState.hx (I have no idea how to future-proof this) also whoops the countdown is behind the note tracks but i think it's always been like that also this was originally uploaded to my second, second channel because this barely had any editing but considering that it's a mod that changes up the intuitiveness of the gameplay i might as well put it here
