THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN SOLD Check out our inventory of 250+ other cars! http://www.motoexotica.com/ Call us - 636-600-4600 Visit our Showroom - 2340 Cassens Dr., St. Louis, MO 63026 E-Mail us - sales@motoexotica.com http://www.motoexotica.com/ WE BUY CARS! • 350 CID V-8 engine • Turbo Hydramatic 350 three-speed transmission • Red exterior and tan leather interior with black trim • Air-conditioning, power steering and power brakes • Wire wheels Looking to find a ride like the one Crocket and Tubbs used in the first season of “Miami Vice?” Look no further, we have a McBurnie Daytona Convertible Replica here at MotoeXotica Classic Cars. This 1975 model came to us from just over the Mississippi River in Illinois. Finished in red, it’s paint and trim are in good, original shape overall while the windshield and lights are clear and intact. The car’s bodywork is straight and solid and the engine bay is very tidy. Part of what makes this replica different it is it has doors from a C4 Corvette, setting it apart visually from other replicas. This car rolls on Firestone Firehawk SS10 radials, size 225/70R15 at every corner. Each tire is mounted to a chrome wire wheel. The tires are in very good condition while the wheels show in good, original order. Under the forward-hinged hood is a 350 CID Chevy small-block V-8 engine breathing via quad, centered exhausts. The motor has been dressed up with Edelbrock valve covers and other chrome parts. It’s mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Driver convenience features include air-conditioning, power steering and power brakes. The tan interior with black trim is in overall satisfactory condition. The tan buckets with black trim look great while the black carpeting, three-spoke aftermarket steering wheel with wood rim is in good shape. The black instrument panel wears a silver appliqué around a full array of Stewart-Warner gauges. The center console and shift lever look good and a Pioneer AM/FM stereo with cassette deck rounds out the interior. According to the McBurnie Daytona Replica Club website, the bodywork was generally flawless but the extended arches gave the game away. Many had chrome door handles, not in the correct place. It was based on a Corvette C3, so a reasonable sports car in its own right with prices reflective of the now valuable donor. Distinguishing features: • The vast majority were painted black • The doors are much longer than the original • They are almost all left-hand drive • Sound is very distinctive of a V-8 • They were all based on the plexi-glass, not pop-up headlight version • Many retained the original mirrors and headrests • Most have automatic transmissions • Majority have chrome wire wheels • There is no quarter window (this has better lines than the original but is not very accurate) If you’ve always wanted a Ferrari but could never afford one of Maranello’s stallions, this might be the next best thing for your budget. Seeing this car brings back memories of watching Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas on the small screen, fighting crime on the pastel-colored, designer streets of Miami in 1985 and hearing Jan Hammer’s iconic theme song. VIN: 1Z37J5S413327 This car is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 512 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title.
