STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSES MOUTH

FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH: SENATOR JOHNSON ON DC DYSFUNCTION 'Total corruption" is how Senator Johnson describes the U.S. government. Again, from some of my past articles, the plain fact is that the U.S. government is 'all worms and no apple.' To reform it is already impossible, as the corruption is throughout. I think I remember reading that Thomas Jefferson felt that some sort of revolution should happen every generation, and while that seems extreme, it might be applicable in America.'The South shall rise again. (Don't burn those Confederate dollars!) might apply once more to the U.S., incredible as it might seem. In fact, the South has its own culture that stretches from Virginia to Texas and could once again define its own territory.Perhaps the only way to save the union at this point would be to go back to the 'Articles of Confederation,' where the central government was very weak, but the states had enormous power over their own interests. This form of government existed after the American Revolution; however, problems arose as the central government was too weak. All that aside, the one thing clear is that the U.S. government serves a pernicious role for the American people. The government is the source of all evils and corruption. Add to that the collapse of the banking system that could spark disintegration in the entire country. And Trump is turning out to be no leader. Narcissistic and confused doesn't work, especially combined with half-baked ideas in Washington. In fact, the country is unable to provide good leadership anymore, as these people would never be allowed to come to power or would be squelched out at a tender age.So maybe the way forward is the way back. As I mentioned, to reform the government into an 'Articles of Confederation' again so that states can better support their own citizens.
